THE WALK — WEEK 1

THE WALK BEGINS WITH SURRENDER

Walking with God doesn’t start with motion — it starts with surrender.

Before God can lead you, He must become Lord to you.

The walk is not about speed, perfection, or spiritual performance.

It is the daily posture of laying down your way and choosing His.

Surrender is the doorway into relationship.

Surrender is the posture that keeps you in step.

Surrender is the evidence that you trust Him more than you trust yourself.

If you want to walk with God in this season, begin here:

Let go of your way. Pick up His. And take the next step with Him today.

Scripture Passages

Micah 6:8 (NKJV)

“He has shown you, O man, what is good;

And what does the Lord require of you

But to do justly,

To love mercy,

And to walk humbly with your God?”

Lesson Points

1. The Walk Begins With Surrender

The walk with God starts the moment you stop leading your own life and surrender to His direction.

Walking with God is not a pace —

it’s a posture.

2. The Walk Requires Agreement

“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” (Amos 3:3)

Agreement with God means alignment with His will.

You cannot walk with God while negotiating obedience.

3. The Walk Requires Humility

Humility is the posture of a surrendered walker.

Pride keeps you stuck;

humility keeps you moving.

4. The Walk Requires Daily Steps

Walking with God is a daily rhythm —

choosing His way over your own,

again and again.

5. God Leads Through His Word

His Word is a lamp to your feet —

showing you the next step,

not the whole road.

6. God Leads Through His Spirit

The Spirit doesn’t shout —

He nudges.

Walking with God means responding to His promptings.

7. The Walk Produces Transformation

Every step reshapes your identity.

You cannot walk with God and remain the same.

8. The Walk Produces Evidence

People should see your walk before they hear your words.

Your walk is your testimony.

Declaration

Say this out loud — and mean every word:

“I choose to walk with God.

I surrender my way for His way.

Every step I take belongs to Him.”

Closing Prayer

Father, teach me to walk with You.

Lead me, guide me, correct me, and strengthen me.

Help me surrender every part of my life to Your direction.

Make my walk the evidence of Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
