Identity Is Inheritance
Romans 8:17
“…and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ…”
Identity is not something we build, protect, or perform. Identity is inheritance—something handed down from the Father to His children. Before we ever try to prove who we are, God has already declared who we belong to. And belonging determines identity.
Most believers live as if identity is earned through behavior, consistency, or spiritual performance. But Scripture teaches the opposite: identity flows from sonship, and sonship flows from adoption, and adoption flows from the Father’s choosing.
Your identity is not an achievement. It is an inheritance.
What You’ll Learn
• Why identity begins with belonging, not behavior
Identity is rooted in the Father’s decision to adopt you—not your ability to perform for Him.
• How inheritance defines your spiritual authority
You don’t fight for identity; you fight from identity because you are an heir.
• Why the enemy attacks identity through orphan-thinking
The enemy cannot steal your inheritance, so he tries to convince you you never had one.
• How to walk in your inheritance daily
Identity becomes stable when you stop trying to earn what God has already given.
